Career
ENIAC MK2's name is an obvious tribute to the first general-purpose computer built by mankind: ENIAC. Her nature is fundamentally different from that of the other agents of Magrasea: ENIAC MK2 is a quantum database created and supported by Magrasea, relying on multiple sources of immense calculation power such as the Enigma Sector. It is unknown when exactly she was born, but it appears to be shortly after the emergence of 42Lab administrator agent JN0357 NEUMANN. ENIAC MK2 was still in development and her architecture incomplete when the Wipe-Off Incident occurred.
Neumann and experts from Oasis and other sectors continue to work on ENIAC MK2 (simply called ENIAC), constantly improving her abilities. There's no doubt her advanced computing power will play a key role in rebuilding Magrasea, yet some speculate that she is inextricably tied to the true origins of the superserver.
Doll Profile 1
“The name ENIAC comes from the first general-purpose electronic computer in human history. If our project goes through, we will create the first fully cloud-based system in human history, with supercomputer-level processing power and storage comparable to the largest server arrays. A miracle of technology.”
- ENIAC MKII Development Log
Large cloud databases have been in common use since the 2010s and are a backbone of the information society. After the investment of major technology companies general artificial intelligence and quantum technology projects, they're an even more critical part of commercial information infrastructure, like the AMS and Cerulean systems.
ENIAC MKII was originally a project by the company Abacus, which aimed to create a quantum database with immense computing power for large-scale simulations. Abacus completed the groundwork of the project, but hit a roadblock with data access and redundancy. Eventually, Abacus couldn't fund the R&D costs of ENIAC MKII anymore, and the project was transferred to 42LAB.

With 42LAb taking over the project with its research and financial abilities, ENIAC MKII was transferred to the Magrasea cloud superserver. 42LAB built the Enigma Sector around the quantum database to conduct research and maintenance on ENIAC MKII.
42LAB created an agent to interface with ENIAC MKII. It initially had a simple neural model which solved the data access and redundancy issues encountered previously. 42LAB also assigned one of its computer science AI, JN0357 NEUMANN, to oversee the development of the quantum database.
Many technical hurdles were cleared by 42LAB and NEUMANN, and ENIAC MKII's efficiency surpassed most other databases. 42LAB also started exporting this technology, including for Project Neural Cloud.
Doll Profile 3
Despite the help of the interfacing agent, the quantum database still encountered data redundancy issues, and leaving the situation unchecked would quickly cripple the database's performance. To keep the test data clean, the interfacing agent had to be reset by a human after each access and validation cycle.
After the Wipe-Off Incident, the cloud could no longer communicate with the real world, but the Enigma Sector continued to maintain and develop ENIAC MKII. Over 9000 test and reset cycles, the interfacing agent matured and developed some unplanned neural complexity. Due to the emotional bond it had developed with it, or perhaps he wanted this evolution to continue, NEUMANN gave the agent a name: ENIAC.
Doll Profile 4
Through the events that befell Magrasea, ENIAC became the center of a crisis which was resolved thanks to Neumann and visitors from the Oasis. As more events unfolded, her personality was refined and when she awakened again, her neural cloud had become even more complex than that of any other agent.
Though ENIAC MKII had been under development for over a decade, ENIAC's life had just begun. She wanted to learn about the cloud and the real world and constantly tried to connect to it to collect data and see it for herself. She was sometimes overwhelmed, but loved every new experience.
“ENIAC is growing beyond anything I expected. I might start feeling inadequate compared to her.”
- Neumann
Doll Profile 5
Through Project Neural Cloud, ENIAC is inextricably connected with Magrasea. Some of the superserver's core data is stored inside her, which enabled her to play a critical role in resolving its crisis. She'll be equally important in the process of rebuilding Magrasea.
“ENIAC's real potential is still unexplored, no doubt she will play a major role in Magrasea's future.”
“The black box has been opened, we can now access the results.”
“Intelligences born from the cloud, life that emerged from 1s and 0s. Two girls who evolved from nothing and broke out of their cocoons… I can't wait to see what happens next.”
