Official news
See Girls' Frontline#Links for a list of official news media. Other medias sharing official announcements can be also be used if there's no official alternative.
Non-official announcements should never be used as reference outside of exceptional circumstances.
File extraction
There are several well-known extraction tools and guides to unpack the game's files. It is easier to retrieve the files by transferring them from a phone than from an emulator. Most files are readily available after downloading the game without needing to pass the login screen. Files that do require logging in are the voice files.

Topics
Game features
When a new feature is added to the game, a user guide should be added either in a new article if the feature is separate from existing features, or added to the existing relevant article.
Existing game features articles:
- Combat
- Combat Simulation
- Guide:Formation Menu
- Guide:Research Menu
- Guide:Factory Menu
- Guide:Repair Menu
- Dormitory
- Guide:3D Base
- Logistic Support
- Heavy Ordnance Corps
- Protocol Assimilation
- Union Skill
- Mobile Armor
- Forward Base
- Gray Zone Exploration
The implementation date should also be recorded in Girls' Frontline#Development. If the feature introduced new music, it should be added to Girls' Frontline Original Soundtrack.
T-Dolls
A new article should be created when a T-Doll is announced. Only some information is available in the announcement, so the article should be completed after the Doll is implemented in-game. Refer to IOP Wiki:How To/GFL/T-Doll to learn how to structure the T-Dolls articles.
When a new Doll is added, a new Union Skill might also be added. Union Skill icons are found in the same archive as other skill icons (spritesui.ab).
If the Doll significantly alters the game's meta, Guide:Strategies can also be updated.
Neural Upgrades
The page of a Doll who receives a new Neural Upgrade needs to be updated with her new stats, her new skill, her new illustration and chibi files.
The Doll's story subpage should also be updated with her Neural Upgrade story.
The page for the new exclusive equipment should also be created.
Costumes
When a new costume is added in the game, its name, illustrations and chibi files should be added to the T-Doll page. Refer to IOP Wiki:How To/GFL/T-Doll.
Commander Customization should also be updated with effects illustrations (found in resourceiconeffect.ab) and chibi files.
Equipment
Each new equipment, either released as part of a new general batch, monthly exclusive, Gray Zone Exploration season, Neural Upgrade or batch in the Forward Camp Black Market, should receive its own page with its icon and data.
Names and descriptions can be found in texttable>equip, and icons from resourceiconequip (the square version of the file should be used).
Fairies
Fairies may be added as part of a new event.
HOCs
Assimilated Units
Assimilated Units are treated as subpages of the main enemy page. "Costume" variants need to be added as a separate subpage to account for gameplay differences.
Mobile Armor
New Mobile Armor types, components and skins should be added to the Mobile Armor main page.
Events
When a new event is announced, a dedicated page should be created. Tentative translation of the event name is acceptable until an official translation is available.
Story should also be updated with the chapters list and their content. If the event introduced new music, it should be added to Girls' Frontline Original Soundtrack. Same with Minigames.
The banner illustration for the event can be found in resourceiconops.ab (not the "_base" version).
It may be necessary to update the Items if there are event-related items.
Story content
When a new main chapter or story event is added, Story should be updated with the chapters list and their content. If the chapter introduced new music, it should be added to Girls' Frontline Original Soundtrack.
When a Doll receives a Neural Upgrade, her story subpage should be updated with her Neural Upgrade story.
List of Characters can also be updated when relevant.
It's unlikely that Worldview, Notebook and Griffin Memories will receive new content, but a new page can be created if a new story feature gets added.
Enemies
New enemies, and especially bosses, may be implemented when a new main chapter or event is added.
Refer to IOP Wiki:How To/GFL/Enemies to learn how to structure the enemies articles.
Items
The items list in Items should be updated when new in-game items are added by a new event or game feature. Item icons are found in resourceiconitem.ab and descriptions in
It is not necessary to keep track of promotional and premium packs.
Furniture
The Furniture list should be completed with new sets and standalone furniture pieces.
Note that some furniture may be locked behind merchandising articles.
Gray Zone Exploration
The content of new seasons of Gray Zone Exploration should be recorded in the main article.
Luffberry Chess
New seasons should be recorded in the main article Luffberry Chess.
Music
Girls' Frontline Original Soundtrack should be updated with the listing of music tracks added by new features, main chapters and events. Audio files should also be extracted and added.
Links to official videos shared on Vanguard Sound's channel and credits shared in their videos can also be added.
Derivative works
Companion materials not included in the game should be listed in Girls' Frontline#Derivative works. The Figures page should also be completed with new releases and announcements.
Minigames
The list in Minigames should be updated when a new minigame event is added.
Other artworks
Official social media sometimes share official artworks not present in the game. These should be added to the main article Girls' Frontline and the article of all characters represented.
