Pandora Anti-Relic Organization
The Pandora Anti-Relic Organization (潘多拉反遗迹组织) is the name of an extremist anti-Relic Technology organization active at least since the end of the 20th century. They consider that the study of Relics is not meaningful science, but profiteering putting the whole of mankind in danger.[1] As their name imply, they see Relics as a Pandora's Box that must remain unopened.
On 11 September 1992, they claimed responsibility for two terrorist attacks in Moscow and New York, commenting that “The urge to steal fire is mankind’s original sin.”[2] Sofya Petrovskaya, the sister of Shaw, joined the Moscovite Illuminati, a branch of Pandora,[3] in the 2030s. In 2037, she was arrested for kidnapping members of the Relics Agency. Shaw criticized her for taking actions that wouldn't produce any result, while she planned to make Relic Technology obsolete through her own feats of engineering.[4] Sofya was declared a martyr of the cause, but the Moscovite Illuminati lost their influence without her leadership.[3] By the 2060s, Pandora's leaders lived a lavish lifestyle thanks to rich supporters.[5]
During the Battle of Frankfurt of 2064, Pandora was blamed for the attack on the Alte Oper due to the anti-Relics message broadcasted by Task Force DEFY.[6] The media called the attack “Pandora Incident”.[7] Pandora's Executive Chairwoman[3] Styx, actually a Paradeus Nyto, denied Pandora's implication in the incident, instead claiming that DEFY was created by Shaw with Relic Technology and escaped the control of the Neo-Soviet Union. Persica publicly denounced Styx's claim[8] and Pandora members themselves criticized Styx for doing the declaration without prior consultation. Styx's claim also angered the Moscovite Illumati due to the implication that Sofya's family was working with Relics, but Styx didn't consider their reaction an issue due to their lack of influence.[3] Despite being crude slander, the controversy stirred by Styx successfully deflected public opinion away from the anti-Relics message of the incident, which was the objective of Paradeus.[9] Styx was killed soon after during the Commander's attack on the White Zone.[10]
