Record 1
A newly-emerged underground broker that's small in stature and big in ambition, formerly known as Gr MP5. When Griffin's reorganization began, she did as her master Thompson did, leaving to see the outside world and improve herself with the goal of becoming "cool" like her master.
She initially found employment at a trading company and changed her name to Peri for the sake of communication. Her peaceful employed life would not last long as Thompson went missing in the Yellow Zone. With her efforts in locating Thompson unsuccessful, she began to entertain the idea of developing further into the Yellow Zone. By coincidence, the company was expanding into dealings with Yellow Zone brokers, and with Peri's endless insistence, she was chosen as a liaison due to her "lack of conflicts of interest". Thus, she conducted business with the brokers while doing her best to dig up intelligence about her master.
After the Agreement's terms loosened, Peri decided to leave her post at the company and return to her esteemed Commander's side. After experiencing the Yellow Zone's trials and tribulations, she has become a broker in her own right using the Elmo as a platform with the help of the connections she has developed in the past. Her sunny disposition and straightforward way of doing things has won her the trust of many cooperators and clients in the Yellow Zone, allowing her to establish an intelligence network.
Peri is not as hung up on the inconveniences caused by her small stature as before. When she encounters those who would belittle her for her size, Peri displays her abilities and rebukes them seriously: "Even someone tiny can be a 'cool' and reliable Doll, okay?"
Record 2
The vendors at the stalls peddle their wares with enthusiasm.
"Please, have a look at these next-gen memory sticks that we just got in! I guarantee the number of places with this quality in the Yellow Zone can be counted on one hand! We've got a sales event going on, too!"
The Dolls from the Elmo, currently on shopping, stop in their tracks. The deals on display are simply irresistible.
"How much do these go for?"
"Vepley has her performance pay! Here, is this en–"
Peri stops Vepley in a timely manner.
"Vepley, any money brought out into the sunlight in the Yellow Zone will melt in an instant!"
"Eh?! Vepley doesn't want her money melting–"
Peri nods, satisfied. She takes the memory stick into her hand, inspecting it briefly before turning to the vendor.
"Sir, which company manufactured these next-gen memory sticks? I don't seem to recall any next-gen models that weigh this much. However, there do happen to be a few models of regular memory sticks of this exact mass. Hm...? Actually, are these model stickers even legit? I think I can make out a few letters..."
The vendor flies into a rage, only putting down the weapon by his hands after a brief look over the T-Dolls' equipment.
"P-piss off if you're not buying! I don't want to hear this! Go away, I'm not selling you a thing!"
"Ehhh? What does that mean? Can you not sell Vepley the memory sticks–"
"Come on, Vepley. Phew, thank goodness I was here today..."
Putting her hands on her hips, Peri smiles confidently. "Leave the haggling and quality control to me!"
Record 3
Even if one is no longer troubled by a height that's not "cool" enough, the disadvantages of being small are still readily apparent.
"Just one more centimeter... come on, Peri..."
Peri stands on her tippy toes, trying to stack one last crate onto a pile.
Her frame has been pushed to its limits, but it still falls short at the final stretch.
"Huff... huff..."
Eventually she gives up, placing the crate back on the ground.
"Shame, I thought I could've reached that with a little bit of effort... But that's a new record for how high I can reach, right? I should note that down and not bother with anything higher than that next time. It's not like I have no other options–"
Peri issues a certain command, and the deep sound of heavy machinery begins to fill the area.
"Peri's custom-made XXL handling robot, off you go!"
Even if her frame's traits can't be changed, problems can still be overcome with effort and ingenuity.
Small and powerful aren't mutually exclusive.

"Springfield, I brought the coffee beans you wanted! Come have a look!"
Previously, when Peri established a cooperative relationship with the Zucchero, she opened a pipeline of coffee beans especially for them. She would come deliver the goods herself if it was convenient, too.
Springfield greets Peri with the usual gentle smile on her face.
"Ah... Hmm? This doesn't seem to be what we ordered."
Peri descends from her vehicle, inspecting the first crate that Springfield opened.
"Ah, I forgot. In here is some 'super cool' stuff I got from the other brokers. I picked it up on the way here. Your stuff's on the other side... You might as well come and have a look at these little treasures of mine, Springfield!"
Peri shows off the items in her possession with unrestrained excitement.
"You only need a few little bits and bobs to become cool–like this limited edition superhero figure! Or the very mask worn by the Phantom of the Opera! These designer sunglasses! And this western cowboy cape, too! I make a pretty awesome wrangler, don't I?"
She drapes the cape over her shoulders as she speaks, the corner of the fabric touching the ground.
Springfield smiles and comments.
"Certainly an interesting idea, but... isn't it a little too long? Should I trim the ends for you?"
Peri thinks about it for a moment, shaking her head.
"No, not just yet... If it's too short, I won't be able to give it to the person who's the coolest in my heart..."
Record 5
There was a time when some almost imperceptible hallucinations lingered in Peri's neural cloud after starting up from sleep mode. She had checked her memory data and was absolutely sure that there was no chance those things occurred in reality. Humans occasionally refer to similar hallucinations as "dreams", and perhaps those were the equivalent for Dolls.
All of those "dreams" had some exceedingly realistic segments, as if they were replicating some faraway past.
Like her master Thompson, teaching her about enhancements on a warm, sunny afternoon. The shade of swaying trees outside, the warm mottled sun on her teacher, adding a touch of warmth to the bombastic sight.
Like the Commander's hand extended to her, with a little cake in its palm, just for her!
Peri always reached out with her hand in vain, attempting to grasp those pleasant phantoms. But the very next second, there would only be the sight of her company lodging's ceiling before her.
No Thompson, no Commander.
"Master, Commander, just where are you..." Peri stares into her empty palm.
After the Commander left without a sound one day, Thompson vanished into thin air too, without any notice or warning. Peri's messages would not be responded to again.
Just where could they be?
Both in her "dreams" and in reality, she pores over the maps again and again, asking friend and stranger alike for any possible intel.
She tried to chase after Thompson and the Commander's shadows, cursing her body's short legs, only to suddenly wake from her terrible nightmares in her plain room.
"It's alright, no need to be in such a rush. At least I can get by on my own now."
Peri said to herself.
"Don't worry, if I keep trying and become stronger, I'll catch up to them one day."
Peri said to herself.
Record 6
Peri's dorm is filled with all sorts of her treasured ornaments and decorations, all "cool" objects she asked her broker friends to acquire for her. While on holiday, Peri would invite me to her dorm to chat and view her collection.
"I must say, your definition of 'cool' sure changes a lot..."
I stare at the haphazard assortment of knicknacks, sighing.
Peri ponders the subject. "Changes... a lot? Maybe that's what it looks like on the surface, since 'cool' things don't necessarily share traits of appearance... But I like anything that represents the ability to protect everyone, Commander! To me, being 'cool' means being able to easily protect others! ...Ah, please do try to put them back where they were, Commander. I sort them by category."
The items before me are dazzling in their variety—from hats and gloves to small weapons. Arranged in no apparent order, I struggle to discern any categories.
"What category does this go in?"
Peri squeezes in front of me to inspect the item from the same angle.
"This one's obvious. It goes in the superhero and protagonist merch category! Master Thompson would like these too! And... and... aww, I forgot to hide it..."
"What?"
"The gift that I forgot to package... that I just got delivered earlier today... that I prepared for you..."
Peri mutters under her breath.
"...There goes my surprise for the Commander. What a shame."
Record 7
By my observations, Peri has been a little weird today.
As I searched for an old file on the ops room's shelves, Peri leaped up, grabbing it and enthusiastically thrusting it into my hand.
She stood guard by me as I took in some scenery on the drone platform, "accidentally" shooting down a drone that nearly hit me.
It is now lunchtime. A meal has been delivered to my table, and Peri has my cutlery in her hands. Judging by the way she holds them, she doesn't plan to use them herself.
"Open your mouth, Commander—"
I knew something was off.
"Peri, do you not have any missions today?" I ask her.
She smiles innocently. "I finished everything yesterday. Isn't taking care of the Commander an important mission, anyway?"
"Ah, well, sometimes... too much external care is a little troubling. Please give me these, Peri."
"Oh? 'Too much external care is troubling'. So you do understand that, Commander."
Saying such, Peri hands the cutlery over without further fuss.
"...Peri, are you angry?"
Peri hurriedly shakes her head, obviously nervous.
"N-not at all! Why would I be angry at the Commander? It's just, I feel like you've been treating me like a little kid again, Commander, so I'm a little miffed."
"I'm feeling a bit coddled... just a little bit."
"Commander, I'm a super cool mature Doll that's going to protect you. If danger appears, please don't try to turn around and protect me. Believe me. I'm going to perfectly handle everything that's a threat to you, just like the other strong Dolls."
Record 8
"Commander, recently I've been feeling that being tiny's not all bad. It's hard to work on anything high up, my field of view's pretty narrow, and I'm often underestimated, but these are all things I can remedy with my abilities. Ever since I realized that, I've been working to overcome my weaknesses. I don't mind those problems that come with my size anymore. Instead, Commander, I've found some positive things in being small!"
Peri said as much once when we were alone together.
I agreed with her.
"That's true. With matters like reconnaissance, physically smaller Dolls have an advantage. In addition, there's agility, being a small target, energy efficiency..."
"And!"
Peri smiled mischievously, suddenly clambering into my lap, looking up at me with glimmering eyes.
"Because I'm small, I can feel your heartbeat and warmth like this when you hug me! ...Commander, this is when Peri is happiest."
Peri placed her hand on my arm, slowly swaying with delight.
"Ah..."
Peri's expression suddenly became grave as if a sudden thought had hit her. The expression hardly commands any respect, instead becoming very innocent, to the point of being cute.
"I think humans hold their children in a similar way. The position might be the same, but I'm not a little kid now. I'm more than old enough mentally.
"So... Commander, you'd better keep treating me like an adult."

Private Meeting Logs

Commander, I just reviewed Elmo's financial situation, including all income sources and expenses this quarter. Seems like there's plenty of room for optimization.
There's a shortage of model GH41 torque converters, drone ammunition, and suspension bearings. In the past, these were bought in ad-hoc situations and ended up costing a premium.
I've drawn up a new procurement plan and have already sent you a request for funding. Please take a look, Commander.
Thank you, Commander. I'll make sure this transaction goes through perfectly~
