Player Progression
- Don't reroll on the beginner gacha. All Elite Dolls in the base game will be useful at some point or the other.
- At login every day, go into the Shop>Quality Selection>Standard Package to claim free daily resources.
- Focus on story and Commander Levels first to unlock all the story Dolls (Krolik, Colphne and Vepley) and menus. Join a Platoon as soon as possible to also unlock Papasha and Balthilde from the Platoon-exclusive shop. Enhance your Dolls when story enemies start opposing some resistance (this should occur at chapter 5 or 6).
- Aside from doing dailies, keep up-to-day on your progress through Combat Exercise, Peak Value Assessment and Expansion Drills in Combat Simulations to earn
Collapse Pieces and buy gacha tickets.
- Only set one support Doll like Colphne in your Combat Exercise team. The defending player loses nothing when beaten while the winner gains resources, so everyone wins by not setting high-end teams.
- Affinity is more important here than in other Girls' Frontline games: it noticeably boosts the Doll's stats and the passive resources generation in the Dispatch screen. Make use of the gifts that drop when farming basic enhancement materials.
- After Stage 3-5, complete Hunter Assessment. This is an in-depth tutorial for features that are not demonstrated in details in the Campaign.
- Weapon Accessories should be the next feature to farm, once Dolls and weapons are optimized.
- For Accessory calibration: Attack, Attack Percentage, Critical Chance and Critical Damage (in this order) are the most desirable stats. It's not advisable to invest in accessories with Defense and Health stats. Set the auto-lock feature to preserve accessories with good trait combinations and make cleaning your inventory faster.
- While phase-specific accessory sets usually provide the best boost, coming up with a perfect set for every Doll is a very long process. Instead, it is advised to first build several perfect sets of Phase Strike, which is the next best boost while also compatible with any Doll regardless of her phase. As you later start to work on your phase-specific arsenal to maximize the abilities of your favorite Dolls, you can pass the generic Phase Strike sets on to other Dolls.
- Players denote the #Neural Fortification|fortification level of a Doll and optionally the calibration level of her imprinted weapon as "v0r0" through "v6r6". For example, "v0 Papasha" indicates a Papasha with no fortification levels and no imprinted weapon. "v6r1 Springfield" means Springfield at maximum fortification level (having pulled 7 Springfields from the gacha) with her imprinted weapon, called "Radiance", calibrated once (having pulled Radiance twice from the gacha).
- For Dolls unlocked from limited gacha banners, higher the "v" and "r" numbers imply a more expensive investment in the gacha.
Combat Generalities
- The auto-calculated combat efficiency score for Dolls is only a quick indicator of how much the Doll has been invested in, not how useful she will actually be.
- Unless your Dolls are comfortably over the recommended level for the map, always compose a team tailored for the map's features.
- Consider the weaknesses of the enemies on the map. Prioritize the weaknesses of enemies marked Elite.
- Place your Dolls on the starting points most suited to where they should go during the first turns. This is especially important for Dolls with low mobility.
- Plan your attack routes and decide if and how to split your team. Consider covers, high grounds, objects (especially explosives and conveyor belts), the order in which to confront enemies and how they will move.
- Read the map objectives. Victory isn't always optimally achieved by wiping out all enemies.
- Against bosses, don't forget to check the action sequence bar at the top of the screen to plan your actions for the turn accordingly.
