Minigame
A simplified implementation of the Xenomension Abyss game mode from Project Neural Cloud. Like PNC, it is an auto-chess game with rogue-like elements.
Each stage is composed of a string of battles which must be completed using a predetermined list of Dolls, to test the player's knowledge of each character. The five characters usable in this event are FlorenceFlorence , Lewis (PNC)Lewis , DaiyanDaiyan , JiangyuJiangyu and ClukayClukay . Each Doll has a basic attack called Auto Skill, two Algorithm Skills and five Base Layer Drive stats (physical attack, operand attack, HP, damage reduction and shield). Enemies include Twiner, Splasher, Entropic Evangelist, Hadal Attendant and Entropic Patience for regular enemies, and Antenora and Caina for bosses.
Each area is either a Conflict Zone or an Anomaly Area. Anomaly Areas differ from Conflict Zones because completing them will unlock a passive Protocol effect (unless the maximum number of Protocols is already reached) (unlike in PNC, all Protocols are beneficial). In stages with Battlefield Overload, the difficulty of combat increases as the stage progresses.
Unlike Exilium, combat occurs in real-time and the player doesn't directly command the Dolls. They move, attack and use their skills automatically. The only aspects the player control are the Dolls' starting position (NOTE: unlike in PNC, units of opposite factions don't body-block each others in this minigame), which Algorithm Skill to use for the current stage, and which Algorithm Skill to enhance for this stage (see next paragraph). Combat is lost if all Dolls are killed, and won if either all enemies are defeated or time runs out. Eliminating every enemy will grant more score and Professor experience than running time.
Professor experience accumulates during combat and unlocks Professor levels. At each new level, Doll stats increase, combat is paused, and the player is offered three Functions at random and must choose one to activate. Functions enhance the Algorithm Skill of one of the Dolls, and choosing a Function already owned will increase its level up to 5. Algorithm Skill effects change at Function levels 1, 3 and 5. A Doll can only have two types of Functions at once. When both Functions are maxed, the next enhancement will unlock the Doll's Arma Inscripta. After that, the Doll can be boosted further with Overclock Functions. Professor level only lasts for the current stage run.
Score is totaled after completing the stage or retiring and ranges from ranks D to SSS. The score achieved in each stage determines the rewards. Completing a stage grants
Skill Pivots used to enhance the Auto Skill, Algorithm Skill and Base Layer Drive of the Dolls in the Neural Growth sub-menu.

Story
While many Project Neural Cloud characters appear or are mentioned in the event, some use pseudonyms:
- Antonina (Network Security Helper)
- Croque (Metal Suit Forever)
- Sol (Blazing Blade of Leo)
- Eos (Glimmer of Dawn)
- Nanaka (NotREAL?)
- Hubble (The Stars My Destination)
- Sangoma (Lilac Herbalist)
In LA-1-4, Chelsea and Cascadia are only mentioned through their model name. The same chapter makes a reference to the memorial to Tasha from the event Steel and Blossoms. In LA-1-6, Beelneith mentions a Doll capable of exploring Relics, in reference to Zion.
