This third-generation Doll appears warm and kind, but is actually cunning and ruthless. Skilled at data manipulation, she enjoys manipulating others and maneuvering behind the scenes. After she lays her enemies' secrets bare, she slowly but surely forces them down the road to destruction.

Lore / Story involvement

Cocoon is the direct superior of Blusphere during Aphelion, in contact with Mangi Security Service. She likes to tease and finds Blusphere's lack of reaction boring compared to Darture.[2] She has some history with H.I.D.E. 404.[3]

Cocoon was originally dispatched by Rurik Girard of the Girard Group to Cecht FABN to run intelligence and electronic warfare missions. Rurik also intended to use Cocoon to keep Cecht FABN acting in his own interests.[1]

During Aphelion, when Dmitry's Survey Corps and H.I.D.E. 404 interfered with Blusphere's mission to destroy the microchip containing evidence of the Boojum experiments led by Paradeus around the Jahodná mines, Cocoon deployed reinforcements from Mangi Security Service.[4] After Blusphere's destruction, Cocoon reported that her mission was still complete since the electromagnetic pulse emitted during her self-destruct sequence had wiped the data from the chip.[3]

At the start of Deep Oblivion, Cocoon used Major Fedya as an informant to monitor NOMFA's investigation of the Girard Group in Odesa.[5] After the Commander's encounter with Darture in the Yellow Zone, she faked an ownership transfer for Darture which misled the NOMFA investigators for a time. Rurik wasn't please with Cocoon's work, thinking she had failed to notice that the previous Chief of Odesa was investigating the Girard Group, forcing Riruk to have him assassinated.[1] This was in fact part of Cocoon's plan to undermine Rurik.[6] When Leva, Lenna, Robella and Soppo fell into Rurik's trap in ODE-22 by investigating a public locker containing damning evidence, Leva and Dier successfully turned Cocoon's extensive surveillance network against her by spoofing their own signals to appear in many places at once, preventing her from properly supporting the trap and failing to capture the entire team.[7]

When Darture tricked the NOMFA Dolls into destroying Girard's Doll control servers in their ODE-04 underground base, Girard's remote control on Cocoon and the other third-generation Dolls disappeared and Cocoon invaded the rest of Girard's servers in preparation for her next move. Cocoon predicted that Rurik and Girard would soon loose their place in the Orlog Conglomerate, but her sponsor instead predicted that Rurik's stranglehold on the public opinion of Odesa would help him survive.[6]

At the start of Intertwined Assault, Cocoon supervised the reactivation of Blusphere. Since Blusphere insisted to complete the mission left unfinished during Aphelion, Cocoon helped her avoid the other bodyguard mission she was supposed to lead.[8] Cocoon supported Blusphere again later by running damage control for her at Mangi Security, defending Blusphere's actions during the assault on the Varjagers who had stolen Girard Group ELID vaccines by arguing that Mangi troops actually got in Blusphere's way, that Mangi needed to forget the incident to protect their relationship with Cecht FABN, and offering for a Mangi officer to supervise Blusphere's next deployment.[9]
