Safe House 3 Raid

In January 2062,[1][2] AR Team, led by Angelia, was deployed by Persica to a location designated Safe House 3 in Sangvis Ferri territory, with instructions to raid its database to recover Lycoris' research data.
The raid is the starting point of Girls' Frontline story, told in the game's prologue and later revisited during Episode 0. It's the starting point of several key events: it was the last time Angelia commanded AR Team before leaving to command Task Force DEFY, it led to the Commander taking command of AR Team, and the research material recovered allowed Persica to create countermeasures to the Parapluie virus.
Operation
Safe House 3 was located in disputed territory in Area S09. AR Team, made of AR M4A1M4A1M4A1, AR ST AR-15ST AR-15ST AR-15, AR M4 SOPMOD IIM4 SOPMOD IIM4 SOPMOD II and AR M16A1M16A1M16A1, was expected to recover Lycoris' research from its servers and bring them back for exploitation by 16LAB.[3] To ensure the research data wouldn't be leaked, AR Team's long-distance transmission modules were disabled for this mission.[4] The team was led by a human commander, Angelia.[5][6] AR Team got into the building without issue after eliminating Sangvis Ferri scouts, but found that the computers in it were so archaic that they couldn't use standard hacking methods on it and had to use the password provided by Persica: 90WISHROCKX. After M4 started copying the data to her Neural Cloud, they were hailed by Agent who revealed that Elisa had been monitoring Safe House 3, waiting for Griffin & Kryuger to unlock the servers.[7] The building was surrounded by Sangvis Ferri troops, and AR Team spoofed their signals to enlist the help of a Griffin squad abandoned nearby by their commander, made of SMG SkorpionSkorpionSkorpion, SMG PPSh-41PPSh-41PPSh-41 and AR StG44StG44StG44.[Note 1] The Griffin troops and AR Team successfully defended Safe House 3 for half an hour and completed the data transfer, forcing Agent to intervene in person.[4]
After repelling Agent's attack, AR Team broke out of Safe House 3 and left the Griffin team to cover their escape, but they couldn't hold back all the Sangvis Ferri pursuers, forcing AR Team to disperse to better evade capture and find help.[8] At some point during the operation, Angelia deleted AR Team's memories of her.[9][10][11] This was probably her last mission at Griffin & Kryuger before she joined Statesec to lead Task Force DEFY.[12] It's also probably at this time that Agent came close to killing Angelia.[13][14]
Aftermath

The members of AR Team remained on the run for about a month.[3][1][Note 2] The first traces of M4A1 were gathered by a rookie commander, who spotted unusual ringleader movements. Griffin command initially planned to leave the recovery of AR Team to a more experienced commander,[15] but lack of manpower and good performance from the rookie convinced Kryuger to put them in charge of M4A1's recovery,[16] then SOP-II, AR-15,[17] and finally M16.[18]
AR Team and the Commander would become involved in Plan Parapluie starting in June 2062.[1] Sangvis Ferri expected to recover the Safe House 3 data when they successfully infected AR-15 with the virus.[19]
With the research data recovered at Safe House 3, Persica created an powerful intrusion program against Sangvis Ferri systems, which was used by SMG RO635RO635RO635 during the battle against Dreamer.[20] The data also revealed the location of File 7, the key to unlocking Lycoris' research, in Sangvis Ferri Base 0.[21][22] Recovered at the cost of M16, File 7 would lead to the ill-fated operation to destroy Sangvis Ferri.[23]
The raid is presented in greater details in the official manhua. In chapter 8, AR Team briefly returns to the area where the Griffin Dolls covered AR Team's retreat and M4 honors StG44's sacrifice.
